Toni has been working in SAR as a dog handler for over 20 years. She is currently the team president and works K9 Sarah.

Stephanie has worked in SAR as a K9 handler since 2009. She is currently the team vice president and works K9 Sirius.

Nan started working in SAR in 2008 specializing in human remains detection. She joined our team in 2014. Her K9’s are trained and certified in live find and human remains detection. She currently works K9 Gosh.

Cathy joined in the SAR community in 2001 as an EMT. She started volunteering with the Hardinsburg Fire Department in 2011 and branched off to work K9 Ambush in 2013. She joined our team in 2016 and is currently training a new K9, Glory for live find.

Shirley started working in SAR in 2015 and joined our team in 2017. Shirley works with retired military working dogs obtained through Project K-9 Hero. She currently works K9 Kango, K9 Roo, and her newest adoptee K9 Uumbro.

Tony started working a K9 and joined the team in 2016, working mostly in Eastern Kentucky. Tony will be training a new K9, Hunter’s Blessing for the Rockcastle County Sheriffs and on SAR cases when needed.

Donna started working in SAR 9 years ago. She joined our team in 2019 working K9 Reba and K9 Turbo in human remains detection.

Beth started in 2011 working as Kentucky’s first female K9 handler for the Department of Corrections, Western Kentucky Correctional complex. In 2014 she became the commander of that group. She joined our team in 2019 working K9 Laney.

Carissa started working in SAR and joined our team in 2020. She works K9 Mazikeen and specializes in live find, but is also training in human remains detection.

Dan has worked as a K9 handler for the Department of Corrections for 3.5 years. He joined our team along with his wife Carissa in 2020. He currently works K9 Kinzell for our team in live find and human remains detection.

Crystal is brand new to the K9 SAR community. She adopted her first bloodhound K9 Maggie in 2023 and started training with the team shortly after.

Marrieta joined our team in 2024. She currently handles K9 Fancy Tater Mae.

Terry has been working in SAR for over 25 years. In 2018 she started consulting with our team in human remains detection.

Judy started in SAR on our team in 2010 working K9 Tracker. She later went on to form her own team with her local fire department in Grayson County. She remains an auxiliary member of our team. Along with SAR she also operates Bluegrass Bloodhounds, a bloodhound breeding program that has provided award winning tracking hounds to police departments and SAR groups across the US and overseas. Her tracking hounds are some of the best in the world!

Sarah is specialized in live find. She is handled by Toni.

Sirius is 3 years old and specializes in live find. He is handled by Stephanie.

Gosh specializes in human remains detection. She is handled by Nan.

Glory is 4 years old and specialize in live find. She is handeled by Cathy.

Kanga is a 9 year old German Shepherd certifed in water and land human remains detection. She is handled by Shirley.

Uumbro is a recently retired military working dog. He served 9 years in the US Air Force as a patrol and narcotic detection dog. Uumbro is currently handled by Shirley.

Turbo specializes in human remains detection. He is handled by Donna.

Reba is 9 years old and certified in human remains detection on land and water. She is handled by Donna.

Laney specializes in live find and is handled by Beth.

Mazikeen is certifed in live find, and is training for a certification on human remains detection. She is handled by Carissa.

Romeo is a 6 year old former Corrections K9. He is certified in live find and handled by Dan.

Kinzell is training in live find and human remains detection. She is handled by Dan.

Maggie is approximately 5 years old and specializes in live find. She is handled by Crystal.

Tater specializes in live find. She is handled by Marrieta.
